What is Adsorption Clarifier Media?

Adsorption clarifier systems are systems that reduce costs and increase process efficiency by combining mixing, flocculation, and clarification in a small area, in a single process step.

What are the Features of Adsorption Clarifier Media?

In adsorption clarifier systems, the coagulant is added as water enters the tank from the bottom of the unit. As water travels upward through the media bed containing floating plastic, it causes the coagulated particles to mix and collide. The media containing floating plastic pieces retains coagulated particles, eliminating the need for precipitation.

Adsorption clarifier systems remove pollutants such as suspended solids, color, iron, manganese, odor, and taste. It is used in many areas such as groundwater and surface water, industrial water, and wastewater treatment.

Why TechCarb?

As TechCarb, we supply HDPE floating plastic media used in adsorption clarifier systems. The floating media made of non-recycled HDPE allows the coagulated particles to adhere better to it thanks to the notches on it, while it can remain suspended in water without settling thanks to its low density. Our product has been tested in accordance with EN 1186 and EN 14372 standards and has been approved for use in drinking water.
