Automotive Industry

Automotive emissions pose a significant threat to urban air pollution. While exhaust emissions are controlled using exhaust gas catalysts, activated carbon is the most common technology used worldwide for evaporative fuel emissions. Vehicle ventilation systems often include non-woven filters with activated carbon. These filters prevent high amounts of volatile hydrocarbons present in the emissions from the fuel tank from entering the ambient air. Air absorbed from outside/the road is passed through these filters and supplied into the vehicle via ventilation or air conditioning.
